Some More InInformation ...
Realistic Rust is
more like the rust that you would see metal-on-metal like that sliding steel
door scraping on the steel surface or bracing of a boxcar or metal shed—and then
dampened by the morning dew slowly etching away at the metal surface;
Instant Age is
ideal for that dark full coverage and thinning Doctor Ben's Instant Age by 50%
or more will flow into cracks and crevasses creating the illusion of shadows and
depth;
Weathered Rust differs
from Realistic Rust in that it is more like the rust that you would see on old
farm equipment sitting out in the field—dampened by the morning dew slowly
etching away at the metal surface; &
Muddy River Bottom is
that brownish-greenish muck often found at the bottom of a stagnant river bed or
stream and somehow makes it way onto buildings, auto and equipment.. All of
these Doctor Ben's products are is intensely strong but easily thinned with
Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol to reduce its preferred intensity.
Granite Ballast Grey Weathering
Solution #1056-4 oz. creates that light, dusty grey that is so difficult to
achieve with opaque products. Additionally, this Weathering Solution reveals a
3-D effect for more realism rather than just a flat color wash. The Granite
Ballast Grey Weathering Solution is also great for that silvery, grey driftwood
color that is so hard to replicate in nature.
Grimy
Dusty Buff Weathering
Solution #1057 creates that light, dusty buff (tan) from road travel and wind
that is so difficult to achieve with opaque products. Additionally, this
Weathering Solution reveals a 3-D effect for more realism rather than just a
flat color wash. The Grimy Dusty Buff Weathering Solution is great for use on
vehicles, details and toning down that *new* look of fresh paint.
Huck’s
White Wash Weathering
Solution #1058 is just what it says.Everything from lime stains on a locomotive,
to faded white washed wood and even the bright white lettering on a sign or on
the side of a boxcar; the results are remarkable! Got more ideas for uses? Let

Pond
Scum Weathering
Solution #1059 looks just like to sounds. Picture a pond or small lake out in
the country or an isolated inlet where there’s not much activity. You look up
against the shore and you see this green crud; that’s Pond Scum. But don’t stop
there. Look on the shady north side of many structures and you will see this
green film of mold and mildew; that too is Pond Scum. And only Doctor Ben’s has
it!
All of the products in this set are topical applications that do not affect the
surface integrity of the model. However, the more porous the surface, the more
difficult it is to remove. This product has built in adhesive polymers that
enable it to stick to any surface. Get too much on and want to remove it? Not a
problem, use Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol to remove and try again. Read about all

This product works best in conjunction with other Doctor Ben's Weathering
Products as well as competitor products. We recommend trying Realistic Rust on
top of Instant Age and vise versa. As with all of our products, for the ultimate
realism, apply turning your object upside down allowing gravity to pull the
residue to the top of the protrusions. This way when you turn it right side up,
the residue is not running down towards the bottom of the models and the effect
looks just like real life.

For years Doctor Ben's
(aka Richard E. Bendever) has kept these versatile Weathering Stains & Solutions
to himself. So when that once famous "now defunct" Floquil© Flo-Stain product
line stains started going for more than a $100 a bottle on eBay; Doctor Ben's
decided to test the market with first the Floquil© Driftwood and when
successful, more stains would slowly begin to be offered. That has been several
years now and boy have things changed!
The long story short is
now that the Doctor Ben's Aged Driftwood has been sold to many thousands of very
happy Customers with huge acclamations. Doctor Ben's is now offering more of the
no-longer available stains, but with a twist. Although the Aged Driftwood is an
exact match to a 1983 bottle of Floquil? Driftwood, the rest of the stain colors
would vary slightly from the original stain colors. And now you can have them
